Installing Chrome extensions locally

HELP

 

Hi
I have a chrome extension called VidIQ
I want it to run on my powerful desktop, I installed it, but because I am in sync, that also got installed on my not-so-powerful laptop.
Is there any way I can use it on my desktop ONLY and NOT on my laptop while still keeping the sync working?
(like installing it locally on my desktop)
